How TED works

Clear water that costs less to run.

Log a quick strip test and TED works out what your water needs, how long your pump should run, and when it’s cheapest to run it. You approve every change in the app.

Why it's a balance

Balanced water and the right runtime keep each other in check.

How it fits together

What TED works from, and what you get.

What TED knows, and how

  • Your poolSet up once in your pool profile: size, pump, salt or chlorine, heating, cover, and how much use and debris it gets
  • Your waterYou dip a strip and log the colours in the app
  • Your pump’s power useTED tracks it live, every time the pump runs
  • The weather at your poolYou add your pool’s location, and TED keeps an eye on the forecast for your area TED AI
  • Your energy planUpload a bill or enter your plan, so TED knows your peak and off‑peak times. Add solar if you have it, or start with your postcode TED AI

What you get

  • Your Water Quality IndexOne score for how your water’s tracking, updated every time you test
  • What to addWhich reading needs attention, and exactly how much to add for your pool
  • When to testA prompt when a fresh test will help, like after heavy rain or a heatwave TED AI
  • When to run the pumpOut of peak or into your solar hours. Fewer hours when the water’s good, more when it needs it TED AI
  • What it’s costingPower use by the day, week, month and year, and what you’re saving

The water

Know where your water’s at.

No more squinting at a test strip and hoping for the best.

Log it in the app and TED gives you your Water Quality Index: one number that tells you where you stand.

Higher score
Your water is closer to where it should be.
Lower score
Your water is further out of range and needs attention. TED shows which reading is off, and exactly how much to add for your pool. No adding a bit extra just in case.

The pump

The right hours, at the right price.

Your pump doesn’t care what time it runs. Your power bill does.

From day one, TED can suggest better times to run it: centred on midday if you have solar, off‑peak on a time‑of‑use plan, or whenever suits you on a flat rate. Once your water is in balance, it can suggest trimming the hours too, and adding some back when your pool needs more filtering, like after heavy rain, a hot spell or a test that shows the water slipping.

Same clear water. Cheaper hours.

What it adds up to

Savings you can see.

Track your pump's power use and savings in the app.
